This year, I’ve taken up a challenge that’s a bit out of my usual realm – the Ben Nevis Challenge on 31 August 2024. It’s a significant leap from my typical routine, but it’s for a cause close to our hearts at Purple Moon Designs.

Why Ben Nevis?

Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, is a symbol of endurance, challenge, and triumph. The journey to its peak is not just a test of physical strength but also of mental resilience. It’s a fitting metaphor for the journey many families and individuals undergo when faced with life-limiting illnesses.

Supporting St Andrew’s Hospice

St Andrew’s Hospice holds a special place in our community. They provide exceptional palliative care to those with life-limiting illnesses, focusing on physical, psychological, social, and spiritual support. Their commitment extends beyond patients, offering invaluable assistance to their loved ones and carers.

This incredible service is offered free of charge to the adult population of Lanarkshire, making the hospice a pillar of compassion and support in our community.

Our Goal

As I prepare to tackle Ben Nevis, our goal at Purple Moon Designs is to raise funds to support the running costs of St Andrew’s Hospice. Every step I take on this climb represents our commitment to this cause.

We need your help! Any donation, big or small, will make a difference. Your support will ensure that the hospice continues to provide care and comfort to those in need.

Every Step Counts

As I train for this full-day walk and climb, I am reminded of the strength and perseverance shown by those facing life-limiting illnesses and their families. Each step, each breath, and each moment of this challenge will be in honor of their journey.

Your support means the world to us and, more importantly, to those who rely on the services of St Andrew’s Hospice. Let’s make a difference together!
